Tour Highlights:
Departure from Albena and Golden Sands at 08.30-09.30 a.m.

Aladja Rocky Monastery (9 – 14 AC) – a visit to that interesting natural monument of early Christianity in Bulgaria, a local museum exhibition, walk around the greeny park and explore the remains of an old church and the monks’ living and praying places.

Visit to the village of Solnik – let the local people greet you as you step out of the bus and enjoy a real horse-cart ride through the village. A warm welcome to an ethnographic house – ritual bread, salt and pepper, as well as a stick of geranium. Walk around the house and its yard escorted by the hostess and learn more about the old Bulgarian traditions and lyfestyle – the vegetable garden, the orchard, the live stock, the authentic interior and furnishing of the rooms. A demonstration of a custom called “Valianka”. A lunch is served at about 01.00 p.m.

As the the lunch is going to its end, local dancers and singers perform bulgarian national songs and dances. The more enthusisastic guests could even take part in a traditional “ Wedding ceremony”.

When the programme is over the tourists could taste home-made honey and have a look at the host’s bee-hives. Shopping opportunity at a little souvenir shop, where authentic national goods from the region are arranged and exposed.

At about 02.30 p.m. the group is heading for the next stop in that lovely excursion. At about 03.15 p.m. arriving at the small resort “ Kamchya “ where a special boat trip up the river Kamchya is organized for the guests (duration –up to 1 hour ). Once you get off the boat guests could enjoy half an hour free time to walk in the vicinities of the resort and taste the famous bulgarian yoghurt!

At about 05.00 p.m. the group makes its way back to Varna. Arriving to the resorts – between  06,00 – 06,30 p.m.

Lunch: 

A lunch is served at the house in the village of Solnik featuring grapes rakya, fresh salad, vegetable mussaka, main dish  (meat kebap with rice or potatoes), house red wine, banitza (a traditional bulgarian pastry with white cheese), mineral water, cookies and coffee.
